purple

Purple has become one of my favorite colors for clothing in recent years.  Probably because it does cool things to my hazel eyes.

Who doesn't love a dress with pockets?  My office is freezing cold so a sweater is an absolute necessity.
I love how the boots and this belt work together.  I tried another belt first this morning.  I tried purple pumps first too.  In the end I was happy with what I chose.

That dress is awesome! I love the swirl pattern, especially with the boots!

I love the pattern of your dress -- it's gorgeous!

I really appreciate your feedback about graduate school. It means a lot to me. I'm actually formalizing how to ask my former profs/advisors to do ref letters and you actually brought up some points that I hadn't considered. Thank you so much for your insight.

You look great! I like the black obi belt with this dress, as well. And nothing beats a dress with pockets, in my opinion!

Are you a meteorology professor? You mentioned engineering on our blog, but now I am extra curious about what you teach. (My husband's Bachelor's degree is in meteorology, so we have a lot of weather geekiness going on in this house.)

Liz: Yes, I am a meteorology professor. Some of my research is on wind energy, so I have worked with engineers!
