Change of Shoes

After I took the pictures, I decided against my cute new sandals (purchased for $25 with a giftcard last month).  For some reason I feel strange in front of the classroom with my toes showing......I was raised that open-toes shoes are unprofessional.....and I can't seem to get past that.  The skirt is from White House Black Market via Ebay for $10.  It is a great year round skirt....and who doesn't love a little animal print in a pencil skirt?  The t-shirt is Ann Taylor via Goodwill (so $3.79).  I take my pictures with my cell phone, and do not own a camera with a timer.....so outdoor pictures are not an option right now.  But I appreciate the suggestion.....hmm, maybe something for when I hit double digits in terms of "followers", lol.

what happened to Spring?

I don't know what happened to Spring, but we seem to be in full blown summer now.  High in the upper 80s today.  Today I really struggled in what to wear, as I just wasn't feeling anything.  I must have tried on about 10 outfits before settling on just a simple black cotton skirt and a t-shirt.  But I added a flower pin to the tee, which made it seem not so boring.  The skirt was Old navy clearance last summer for $7.  The tee was Target clearance for $4, also from last summer.

flattering?

Ever have those days where you feel fabulous, and then look at the picture and have second thoughts?  This dress is super comfy, and I think looks flattering in the mirror.....but the picture tells a different story.  In the picture, I think I look bigger than I am.  Hmmm, that is some food for thought.  But considering the dress is so comfortable on a hot summer day, and I feel great in it....who cares what one picture says?

Spring is in the air!

Wow, it sure feels like spring......or rather summer. Temps in the 80s today!  woo hoo!  Too bad my office is always freezing, year round, so I wore a tan blazer over this outfit.  The shoes are new......I needed some grown-up sandals (i.e ones with heels).   The skirt was thrifted last summer.  The cami is old, and the top is Banana Republic via Goodwill.
